Business mission travels to Seoul to boost the presence of Catalan fashion brands in Asia

Clúster Català de la Moda (Modacc)

The Generalitat de Catalunya, through the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya (CCAM), together with the Clúster Català de la Moda MODACC, are organizing a business mission from November 27 to 29 in South Korea, in which seven Catalan fashion brands will participate. The project has the technical collaboration of the consulting firm The Hunter and the team of the Action office in Seoul.

The aim is to learn about the fashion market in South Korea in order to increase Catalan fashion exports to Asian markets in the coming years. Currently, according to the report "Perspectives of Catalan fashion 2023", only 15% of the country's fashion brands sold in Asia during 2022, a continent that concentrates only 7.2% of total Catalan exports.

In recent years, Seoul has become a reference destination for new brand concepts, spaces and products in the fashion and cosmetics sector. The city allows to see different approaches of brands and retailers that have achieved a perfect coexistence between on and offline fashion, and that is why it has been selected as an inspiring proposal by the Catalan Cluster.

The Fashion Trend Tour Seoul is an activity organized for Catalan fashion and design companies to acquire new innovative knowledge that will inspire them and allow them to apply it to their products and services. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to enter a market of approximately 52%.
