Abstract
The pandemic process has especially affected the world of retail-fashion changing the weight of the different sales channels, physical and online, accelerating the increase in the marketing of fashion products from own or third party e-commerce platforms. This increase, in some cases exponential, leads operators and brands well positioned in the online world, to consider the presence in multiple virtual marketplaces.
After the growth in their own "online" channel, the presence in national and international marketplaces such as Amazon, Zalando, Mirakl del Corte Ingles, etc... adds more sales possibilities and better conditions for the rotation of their stocks. But the current tools for the management of multimedia product information do not have the necessary functionalities to respond to the formats required by each of the platforms.
This forces companies that want to be present on several marketplaces to manage content, synchronize catalogs, prices and stocks according to the protocols and formats of each platform, repeating work and without being sure that they are correctly synchronized.
The objective of the FMODA-PIM project is to develop a PIM - Product Information Management software, which allows fashion brands to have centralized catalog and multimedia content management, and an easy integration of their product offerings in various e-commerce platforms, in an efficient way, and optimizing sales opportunities.
Multi-language descriptions, multiple photos per product, videos, catalog segmentation affected by the criteria of each marketplace, which catalog segments are shared in each marketplace ... all managed in a single data container that via API, automates the uploading of information to the different marketplaces.
To be able to share the stock, published in real time in the different marketplaces, so that the entry of a sales order from any of them refreshes the stock position via API in the rest.
Participants: Modacc, Intarex, Simorra i AldoMartins.
Funded by: Support line for Innovative Business Groupings of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
Results: The project will result in a platform based on PIM - Product Information Management software, which will allow fashion brands to centralize catalog management and multimedia content, as well as to integrate the product offer in various e-commerce platforms, in an efficient way, simultaneously in order to optimize sales opportunities.
