Last April 20 and 21, Modacc, the Catalan fashion cluster, received a visit from a delegation from the Moroccan denim and fashion cluster, as part of the EuroMed Cluster Forward Business Connect European project. This strategic meeting is part of the desire to consolidate international alliances and strengthen the competitiveness of the textile sector in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

The main objective of the visit was to generate a knowledge exchange space to analyze the degree of maturity of the sector in Catalonia, identify shared challenges and highlight the progress achieved, especially in the field of digital transformation and the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

The central session was led by Sciling, who offered a structured vision of technological implementation opportunities along the entire textile-fashion value chain. The main barriers to adoption and the potential impact of these technologies on business competitiveness were also addressed, providing a clearly oriented approach to strategic decision-making.

The program included visits and sessions with key agents of the Catalan innovation ecosystem, such as Shima Seiki, Eurecat, Aracne, Trilogi, Neural Fashion, Artiso and the Digital Cluster. These actors shared real cases of implementation and already operational solutions, facilitating a practical and results-oriented approach, with special emphasis on interoperability and synergies between both regions.

With this initiative, Modacc strengthens its position as an international connection platform and works actively to encourage collaborative innovation, accelerate the transformation of the sector and build solid bridges between Europe and the southern Mediterranean.
