The textile-fashion industry is a traditional industry with a long history and a well-developed industrial structure. However, it is true that automation in the textile sector processes follows a slower immersion process compared to other industrial sectors. As a result of this current situation, the TEXVISION project was born with the aim of attacking this need or opportunity in the textile industry.
Thus, the project aims to bring automation and digitization in the quality control process of textile companies to reduce both the time of quality control process and the error due to the human factor, thus improving the competitiveness of the company can offer a product with better quality.
The Catalan Fashion Cluster, MODACC, together with the technological center FITEX and PIVCVISA and companies such as ESTILMAR and TEX51, have developed the project called TEXVISION with the aim of automating quality control to eliminate or reduce defects in the textile production process. The project is funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MINCOTUR).
The TEXVISION project has focused on studying advanced solutions for automation and digitalization of artificial vision applied to the quality control of textile fabrics.
