080 Barcelona Fashion Connect will be held , the showroom organized by the Catalan Fashion Cluster (MODACC) with the support of the Department of Business and Labor. The virtual commercial meeting, which is part of the activities prior to 080 Barcelona Fashion, will maintain the television show format of the last edition, improving the 3D space with personalized elements depending on the exhibiting brand. The most notable novelty this year is that the category of swimwear is incorporated into the usual outerwear and accessories category.
The event, which will unify and centralize the presentations of the participating brands on a set, will once again be in digital format, a very successful modality in recent editions. Thus, the attendance of buyers from all over the world has multiplied, increasing the number of contacts, bilateral meetings and sales agreements reached during the day.
Some twenty Catalan fashion and accessories brands have already confirmed their participation in the event to present their collections for the coming season to buyers from all over the world. The registered brands are the following: The Artelier, BALUARD BARCELONA, NKN Nekane, ESCORPION, EstadoDeRuido, BOHODOT, BELAMER, Bad Habits, LISA LEMPP, IMARIDO, CALAMOON, Lisa Ivarsson, Infinito Denim, BIBA, xantik®, sita muro, melé beach and bread.
Throughout the day, brands will be able to explain their distinctive features online and present their collections for 15 minutes; In addition, they will also be able to hold bilateral meetings with registered buyers: agents, distributors, representatives of e-commerce
platforms and other professional profiles, with a high capacity for international purchasing.
To complete the virtual event, from April 27 to May 27, brands will be able to incorporate documents and videos of interest to agents through the platform where the event will be held. In this way, access to information is facilitated for buyers with time differences with respect to Europe with the aim of promoting interaction between buyers from different countries.
In this sense, and with the aim of facilitating access to new markets, this year we have collaborated with the external offices of ACCIÓ - Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Generalitat of Catalonia - in Mexico and Denmark to capture new markets and generate international business opportunities through the export of Catalan fashion brands.
The director of Modacc, David García, has highlighted that " in 080 Barcelona Fashion Connect has established itself as the most important digital instrument for international promotion in the State: each edition we achieve the participation of 50% of new brands and the registration of more than 140 agents and distributors from all over the world. The data shows us that digital tools are commercial promotion instruments that have come to stay beyond the pandemic ”.
The 080 Barcelona Fashion Connect showroom is the first event to be held within the framework of the 31st edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, which will take place from May 2 to 5 at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona.
