The fashion industry continues its process of recovery from the effects of the pandemic, despite the complicated macroeconomic environment resulting from inflation that affects all products and services. One of the priorities of the new Presidency will be the activation of new internationalization opportunities for companies associated with MODACC, seeking new channels and markets that may be receptive to fashion products from Catalonia. In this sense, prospective actions are contemplated in South Korea, the United States and some Central Asian republics, while actions will be maintained to access digital fashion sales portals around the world. From MODACC we must accompany companies in the sector in their efforts to access and consolidate in new markets" explains the new president of MODACC, Montserrat Figueras.
Sustainability and digitalization remain two of the major challenges for companies in the sector, to which MODACC wants to respond through its projects and services. In this sense, the cluster will expand its portfolio of services to help member companies to learn about the new environmental regulations, discover procedures and technologies to respond to them and build value for the business based on sustainability.
In the technological chapter, MODACC will initiate experiences with artificial intelligence applied to demand forecasting and garment stock management along the entire chain. In the same direction, but in the field of online commerce, "In 2023, we want to consolidate the e-commerce barometer that we launched this year and that allows us to share performance indicators of our e-commerce as a tool for improvement," explains Pau Montanaro, vice president of MODACC.
The Board of Directors of the Modacc Cluster for 2023 is formed, in addition to the president Montserrat Figueras (Sita Murt/), by the entrepreneurs and experts of the fashion sector Pablo Montanaro (The Animal Observatory), Arancha Algás (Boboli), Bernat Biosca (Escorpión), Silvia Viudas (LCI Barcelona), David Dimas (Simorra), Luis Costa (Guasch), José Ignasi Reixach (Punto Blanco), Enri Pujol (Eltex), Luis Jiménez (Yerse), Antonio Egea (Tex51), Joan Jordi Piera (Cetriko), Juan Javier Gabarró (Gavipunt), Cristina Torras (Bohodot), Roser Ramos (Condor), Ezequiel Giró (Girón Gr. ), David Puyuelo (Coleo), Jordi Ruiz (GrupoMet), Marta Coca Ortiga (CCAM), Silvia Castelló (Qstura), Albert Lorente Reyes (ACCION) and Georgina Bombardó (ESDI).
