The Label Edition, Simorra and Lola Casademunt project the talent and relevance of Catalan fashion at the 83rd edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM) has celebrated its 83rd edition in the Spanish capital, consolidating itself as one of the main platforms to showcase the state's creative talent. The event has gathered nearly 25,000 attendees and hosted a total of 40 fashion shows, in a context that reaffirms the strategic weight of the fashion industry as an economic and cultural engine. In this scenario, the presence of The Label Edition, Simorra and Lola Casademunt - firms linked to the cluster - highlights the work well done in the sector and reinforces the international projection and relevance of Catalan fashion.

The Label Edition: an ode to the free spirit

The Label Edition firm paraded last March 19 with its autumn-winter 2026-2027 collection, entitled "Babylone". The proposal is inspired by the creative, personal and timeless universe of Loulou de la Falaise, muse of Yves Saint Laurent, reinterpreting a free, carefree and distinctly bohemian style.

The collection articulates a strategic duality between the forcefulness of men's tailoring and the delicacy of soft and fluid women's pieces. Printed velors, puffy sleeves and dynamic silhouettes make up a wardrobe designed for a traveling woman, with an artistic sensibility and oriented towards unique but versatile pieces. The nocturnal atmosphere of Paris in the 70s and 80s permeates the entire creative narrative.

Simorra: fabric as a universal language

Simorra presented "Texere", a collection that approaches fashion from an anthropological and conceptual perspective. The firm turns pieces into vehicles of literary and poetic expression, valuing fabric as one of humanity's first languages, capable of transmitting thought, identity and belonging.

The proposal incorporates elements in red as a metaphor for the creative process, evoking corrections, annotations and interventions specific to the construction of discourse. This approach reinforces Simorra's positioning as a brand that transcends functionality to place fashion in the realm of cultural reflection.

Lola Casademunt: eclecticism and creative energy

For her part, Lola Casademunt presented "Bohemian Soho", a collection inspired by the New York of the 70s, where music, art and creative freedom converge. The proposal opts for an eclectic aesthetic, with a clear vocation for expressiveness and authenticity.

Flowing dresses and tailored pieces coexist with mix & match combinations of rich materials and contrasting textures. The relaxed patterns project an effortless elegance, while the color palette - with earth tones, oranges and ochres - is combined with the brand's iconic prints such as animal print, flowers and the diplomatic stripe.

Catalan fashion: competitiveness, identity and global projection

The participation of The Label Edition, Simorra and Lola Casademunt in the MBFWM is not anecdotal: it is a clear indicator of the competitiveness and maturity of the Catalan fashion system. The three firms exemplify a way of doing things based on quality, creative coherence and the ability to interpret global trends without losing their own identity.

This presence reinforces the international positioning of Catalan fashion and shows that the sector not only generates product, but also story, culture and differential value in global markets. In an increasingly competitive environment, the combination of talent, strategic vision and rigorous execution becomes key to providing added value to the client and the market.
